John 10:10 (ESV) says, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” There is an enemy out there whose goal is to steal, kill, and destroy. And while each of us may do a decent job standing against him through our own individual prayer life and Bible study, how much more powerful will our stance against the enemy be if we were all standing together fighting the invisible enemy with the right weapons, i.e. spiritual weapons. If you are a child of God I am sure that you have witnessed the attack of the enemy in your personal life firsthand. Have you ever stopped to think about how much fiercer the attack is against the one who has been assigned to feed God’s sheep? What would happen if members of congregations stood together to say we are going to spend 31 days praying the Word of God over the man or woman of God, ourselves and other members of our church family? And not only that but we learned what the Bible says about winning in our quiet time, our prayer life, our Bible study, our worship, our church life, and our stewardship. Can you even imagine the great revival that would come about in our churches, communities, cities and even our country if we learned to be the victorious soldiers God meant for us to be? WE WIN was written to equip, empower and encourage both pew and pulpit not to give up in this fight. For the next 31 days as you journey through the devotional and over the next six weeks as we align ourselves in spiritual formation with the Word of God, I invite you to join me in a prayer walk through Scripture that is designed to strengthen both pew and pulpit in the Christian journey of faith standing against the enemy. Always remember we do not fight for victory, we fight from victory.
